  • How to select your remote control (86) 12.10.2018

Our remote control models have multiple functions. Determine which criteria are important to your project, and find the model that best satisfies your needs and desires.

    1. Feedback. The remote control emits a visual or audio signal informing you that the command was received and carried out. This function is only available with remote controls that use the io-homecontrol radio protocol.

    2. The “My” function Memorises the favourite position of a product, allowing the user to go to it instantly by pushing the ‘my” button on the remote control.

    3. Centralised control: Control multiple motorised devices quickly and easily. This function is integrated into the multichannel remote controls or the Situo 5 io, Nina io, Nina Timer io or Chronis io equipment.

    4. Timer function. The Timer allows you to turn on motorised equipment at predefined times. This function is available on the Nina Timer io and Chronis io remote controls.

    5. Discreet mode. Reduce the motorised roller shutter’s speed for optimal acoustic comfort! This function is available with the Smoove RS100 io, the Nina io range and the S&SO RS100 io motor.

    6. Variation function. This function is ideal for Venetian blinds since it allows you to adjust the slats to reduce the light intensity and keep your home cool. Available with the Situo Variation io and Telis Variation RTS remote controls.

    7. Comfort. For extra comfort and security, protect your equipment with sun, wind and/or rain sensors.

The points to check before selecting a remote control:

    1. What technology do you use? Our remote controls operate using RTS radio and io-homecontrol protocols. Your motorised shutters, screens or blinds must use the same radio technology in order for the remote control to work.

    2. How many devices do you want to control with the remote? If you have multiple motorised shutters, screens or blinds, we recommend you choose a multi-device remote control that allows you control them individually or all together. Attention: a single-device remote control will only control one motorised device.
